2023 Hyundai Creta Powertrain Details

Hyundai recently updated the Creta with road driving emission (RDE) compliant and E20 fuel-ready engines. Despite receiving updates for RDE compliance, both the petrol and diesel engine options produce the same amount of power and torque as earlier. The 1.5L turbo diesel engine produces 116PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm. The 1.5L normal petrol engine is now E20 fuel-ready and produces 115PS of power at 6300rpm and 144Nm of torque at 4500rpm. The diesel engine comes with 2 transmission choices – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The petrol engine can be had with a 6-speed manual or a CVT transmission.

Furthermore, Hyundai have also given the 2023 Creta an integrated starter generator with idle start/stop feature. This feature is available across all powertrains and variants of the 2023 Creta. Idle start/stop helps the car burn less fuel in stop-go traffic conditions, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.
