Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch Soon — Which Facelift Design Do You Prefer? | V3Cars

The Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular family SUVs in India and it is also one of Hyundai’s best-selling models. Hyundai revealed the 2nd-gen Creta at the 2020 Auto Expo and after a span of 3 years, Hyundai is set to bring the Creta facelift in 2023.

The Hyundai Creta facelift is already on sale in multiple global markets, such as Thailand, South Africa and Brazil. However, while the Thai and South African markets get the Tucson-inspired Creta facelift, the Brazilian market received a refreshed model with a similar design as the current Creta. In this article, we try to understand which facelift suits our market better.

Let’s talk about the Thai-spec Creta facelift first. This version of the Creta facelift gets a Tucson-inspired front profile. The chrome grille gels perfectly with the LED DRLs and seems like one unit when not lit up. The headlights sit lower on the bumper and it looks sleeker overall. Towards the side, the Creta facelift remains the same as the current model, save for a new set of alloy wheels. At the back, it gets tweaked LED tail lights and a sculpted tailgate.

The Brazil-spec Creta facelift, on the other hand, sports minimal changes. Up front, it gets a honeycomb-mesh chrome grille with subtle changes made to the headlights and fog lights. The alloy wheels on this model are similar to what we get with the Hyundai Alcazar in India. Furthermore, the tailgate in the Creta facelift is sculpted and gets tweaked LED tail lights.

On the inside, both the Thai-spec and Brazil-spec Creta facelifts are similar and fall in line with the one sold in India. However, globally, Hyundai offer a smaller 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the Creta whereas the India-spec model boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. We expect Hyundai India to offer new features like 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring and a full suite of ADAS, or autonomous driver assistance systems.

As you have now seen the images of both the models, we would like to know which one you would like to see in the Indian market. The Thai-spec Creta looks a lot more radical and may not be to everybody’s taste. However, it grabs your attention and resembles its elder sibling — the Tucson. The Brazil-spec Creta, on the other hand, gets minimal changes and could be the perfect option for someone who prefers the design of the current Hyundai Creta.
