Hyundai Creta Facelift Already In Works | V3Cars
Hyundai debuted the second-gen Creta back in 2019 and the carmaker is now working on the Creta facelift as it has been spotted testing.
While the test mule was heavily camouflaged it seems like the updated Creta will look largely similar to the current model in terms of its silhouette. However, it is expected to get a redesigned front end following the brand’s ‘Sensous Sportiness’ design language which we have already seen on the fourth-gen Tucson. Like Tucson, the new Creta is expected to get Hyundai’s parametric grille. It will be flanked by bumper-mounted headlamps while the turn indicators are placed above them.
The spy shots do not reveal the rear of the updated Creta but expect it to feature minor updates in the form of connected tail lamps and a slightly redesigned bumper. Similarly, on the inside, expect the Creta facelift to receive some minor updates along with some additional features.
It is too soon to comment on the powertrain of the Creta facelift but Hyundai might introduce some sort of mild hybrid systems on the updated Creta SUV. Currently, the India-spec is Creta is offered with three engine options: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115PS/144Nm), a 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm) and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine (140PS and 242Nm).
Hyundai is expected to debut the Creta facelift in 2022. Hyundai launched the second-gen Creta in India in 2020 which makes it fairly new for the Indian market. So, expect Hyundai to bring in the facelifted Creta to India by 2023. It will continue to take on likes of the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Volkswagen Taigun and the Skoda Kushaq.
