Hyundai Alcazar Start Reaching Dealerships Ahead Of June 18 Launch | V3Cars
A few days ago, we reported that Hyundai has billed 1360 units of the Alcazar SUV in May 2021. Now, these SUVs have started reaching dealerships ahead of the official launch on 18 June 2021.
Hyundai will offer the new Alcazar in six variants: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O). It will also be offered with dual-tone colour options in the Signature and Signature (O) variants. The Alcazar will be offered in both 6-and 7-seater configurations depending on the variant. The car spotted here is a higher variant of the SUV as it was equipped with new 18-inch alloy wheels. It is to be noted that Hyundai will offer the Signature and Signature (O) variants exclusively through select dealerships called the ‘Hyundai Signature’ dealerships while other variants will be on sale across all Hyundai dealerships.
Under the hood, the Alcazar will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. It will be offered with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (159PS/191Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115PS/250Nm). Both the engines will be paired to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed automatic transmission. A leaked document has confirmed that the Alcazar petrol has a fuel economy of 14.5/14.2 kmpl (MT/AT) while the diesel SUV has fuel economy figures of 20.4/18.1kmpl (MT/AT). Hyundai claims that the Alcazar petrol can go from 0-100kmph in 9.5 seconds.
Features on offer include up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, puddle lamps, auto LED headlamps, powered driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, 64-colour ambient lighting, 2nd-row wireless mobile charging, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Bose sound system, air purifier, rear sunshade, side doorstep, multiple driving modes and multiple traction modes.
Pre-launch bookings for the Alcazar SUV are already underway for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Prices are expected to range from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. It will take on the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
