Hyundai Alcazar Reaches Dealerships Ahead Of Launch This Month | V3Cars
Hyundai is gearing up to launch Alcazar and the SUV has already started reaching dealerships across the country. Hyundai has dispatched 1360 units of the Alcazar in May 2021 further affirming its imminent launch. If sources are to be believed, Hyundai will launch the Alcazar SUV on 17 June 2021.
Now let’s take a look at what we know about the Alcazar SUV so far.
The Alcazar is essentially a 7-seater version of the Creta with a longer wheelbase, redesigned exterior and added features. It will be offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine (159PS/191Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115PS/250Nm). Both the engines will be paired to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed automatic transmission. While Hyundai has not revealed the fuel economy figures of the engines, it claims that the Alcazar will have the best in class fuel economy. The carmaker also claims that the petrol Alcazar will have a 0-100kmph time of less than 10 seconds.
Hyundai has not revealed the dimensions of the Alcazar but has confirmed it will have a wheelbase of 2760mm, 150mm longer than the Creta. The Alcazar will be longer than the Creta while its width and height are expected to remain similar to the Creta. For reference, the Creta is 4300mm long, 1790mm wide and 1635mm wide. It has a wheelbase of 2610mm.
Likes its design and underpinnings, the Alcazar is also expected to share its feature list with the Creta SUV. Features on offer will include up to 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, parking camera, electronic parking brake, hill launch assist, electronic stability control, panoramic sunroof, auto AC, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, Bose sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, cruise control and air purifier.
Some additional features on offer will include wireless mobile charging for the second row and dedicated AC vents for 2nd and 3rd occupants.
Hyundai is expected to offer the Alcazar SUV in six variants. Prices are expected to range from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. It will take on the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
