In this February 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all A-segment hatchbacks in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales where applicable. A-Segment Hatchback February 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change

Among mass volume cars from the A-segment hatchback category, the Alto K10 and Alto 800 were the only gainers, with a 57% YoY growth in February
The Celerio saw the biggest YoY change in February 2023, with a decline of 55% in February 2023 over February 2022
Maruti’s S-Presso also saw a 54% decline in dispatch figures over that of February 2022

A-Segment Hatchback February 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change

The Renault Kwid was the biggest MoM gainer in the A-segment in February 2023, with a growth of over 2,800% over its January sales figures. This is because Renault only dispatched 59 units of Kwid in January.
The Celerio was the next gainer in February MoM comparison analysis, with a 30% rise in dispatches
The Alto pair was the top loser, with a 15% MoM decline, and the S-Presso followed the Alto, with a 6.8% decline in MoM numbers
