Typically, electric cars offer a cabin with coloured accents, such as blue in Tata’s EVs, and various other features to set them apart from their ICE-counterparts. However, Citroen has opted for a conventional interior for the eC3.

The interior looks identical to the ICE-powered C3 as it continues with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, manual climate control and manually-adjustable ORVMs. Furthermore, the eC3 also gets the same 3-spoke steering wheel as the regular C3. The eC3 also retains the C3’s ignition lock cylinder with no push button start/stop system.

The only big perceptible change in the eC3’s interior is the inclusion of a toggle switch that lets the driver select drive modes. The eC3 is likely to offer multi-level regenerative braking and drive modes for a smooth driving experience.

While it’s pretty early to judge, we expect the eC3 to undercut the Tata Nexon EV Prime and lead the segment until Tata come up with the Punch EV. Hence, the eC3 will rival the Tata Tigor EV and the upcoming Tata Tiago EV for now. The Citroen eC3 is likely to offer a range of 300km to 350km on a single charge. It is likely to pack a 40kWh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor.

Citroen could price the eC3 below Rs. 10 lakh to undercut the Tata Nexon EV and Tigor EV. The Tata Tigor EV’s prices range from Rs. 12.50 lakh to Rs. 13.75 lakh ex-showroom. Apart from the eC3, Citroen are also working on the C3 Aircross that could incorporate 3-row seating.
