BMW India have also discontinued the 3.0L turbo diesel engine from the 6 Series GT lineup. The same 3.0L turbo diesel engine also powered the 530d and X3 30d, but BMW have discontinued these models too. The reason behind the discontinuation of the aforementioned variants powered by the 3.0L turbo diesel engine could be the lack of updates to comply with BS6 phase-2 emission norms, which came into effect on April 1.
