BMW will launch the 5 Series facelift in India on 24 June 2021. Since it is a mid-life update, it gets mild cosmetic updates and a bunch of additional features.

BMW 5 Series Facelift

In terms of design, the front fascia looks similar to the 6GT facelift, which went on sale in April this year. It gets new sleeker headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs flanking the wider single-piece front grille. The bumper is also redesigned and looks more elegant with a wider and sleeker air dam flanked by thick D-shaped chrome inserts. The side and rear profile look similar to the current car save for the new LED tail lamps and redesigned rear bumper.

The cabin looks identical to the current model save for some new trims. Feature additions include the latest version of BMW’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and BMW’s iDrive infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen. It will also get connected car tech and Apple CarPlay and  Android Auto support. Other features are expected to remain similar with LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, remote control parking with BMW display key, Harman Kardon sound system, 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone AC, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake and 6 airbags.

Under the hood, the 5 Series facelift is expected to carry forward the same engines as the current car. It is offered with three engine options: 520d, 530d and 530i. Here are the details:
