In this August 2022 MG cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of MG for the previous month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which MG car’s sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all MG cars.

August 2022 - MG Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Only the ZS EV recorded a YoY growth of 45.42% in August 2022
The pair of Hector and Hector Plus and the Gloster reported a decline of 41.48% and 47.29%, respectively
Astor is the latest entry in MG’s portfolio and hence does not have a long enough history to warrant a YoY comparison

August 2022 - MG Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

All the MG cars suffered a decline in dispatches in the month of August 2022
Gloster saw the biggest decrease in numbers, a decline of 26.59%
Hector and Hector Plus pair showed a 3.57%% MoM decline while the Astor saw a decline of 2.8%
Astor showed a 17% decline in figures in August, but still managed to post 4-figure sales in August, which is what we expected in our April MoM analysis
