Audi India Likely To Launch Q3 and Q3 Sportback Near Diwali | V3Cars

After the launch of the Q7, Audi India are set to resurrect another popular model in the Indian market — the Q3 facelift. Audi India could also launch the Q3 Sportback alongside the regular Q3 to target a younger set of buyers. Audi revealed the Q3 facelift in the global markets way back in 2018 and it is now finally heading to India.

While Audi calls it a facelift, there have been multiple changes, including the dimensions, to make it more appealing than the previous model. At the front, the octagonal design for the grille is now bigger and is flanked by LED headlights with a unique DRL pattern. The side profile also gets a strong character line and flared wheel arches. At the rear, the Q3 gets split LED tail lights whereas the Sportback model, as the name suggests, gets a tapering roofline.

On the inside, the Q3 gets a new dashboard design with multiple layers. The MMI touchscreen is fitted around a piano black panel whereas the AC vents sit atop. Other features include two-zone climate control, digital instrument cluster, electrically-adjustable seats, and a slimmer steering wheel.

Like all the other Audi models in India, the Q3 range will only come with a petrol engine. The engine could be the familiar 2.0L turbo petrol with 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive. The Q3 will take on the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40 whereas the Q3 Sportback will carve a space of its own in the market. The Q3 range will be assembled locally and priced competitively.
