In this April 2022 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all MPVs in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales, where applicable.

MPV Segment April 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

Among the MPVs, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Eeco are the top 2 performers followed by Innova, Carens and then another Maruti Suzuki car, the XL6 occupying the 5th spot
In terms of YoY change, excluding the low-volume Vellfire’s figures, the Innova and Ertiga posted a split 70%+ improvement and were the top 2 gainers
Unlike most other segments, the MPVs saw YoY growth almost across the board
Eeco is the only MPV, which suffered a nominal drop of 2.75% YoY

MPV Segment April 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

In terms of MoM change, the XL6, Ertiga and Eeco were top gainers posting a 118%, 89% and 21% better sales in April 2022
The Marazzo, Innova, Triber and Carens lost 40%, 20%, 18.3% and 17.9% respectively
