2024 Toyota Fortuner Image Leaked 

The new image reveals the exterior design of what could be the production-spec Fortuner. Toyota have already revealed that the next-gen Fortuner SUV and Hilux pick-up will share its platform with the recently launched Toyota Tacoma. Apart from the underpinnings, the new Forutner could also borrow a few design cues from the Tacoma pick-up, as seen in the image.

2024 Toyota Fortuner Design Details

The leaked image reveals the 2024 Fortuner’s slim LED headlights with a slim LED DRL design, which merges with the radiator grille. The front grille boasts 3 horizontal chrome slats and is likely to boast a honeycomb mesh underneath. The front bumper features a wide air dam and a silver skid plate is likely to feature additional lighting elements as well.

Around the side, the image reveals a new design for the alloy wheels, which could measure up to 19-inch in the higher variants. The new Fortuner also features a redesigned windowline with a soft kink around the C-pillar.  While the leaked image doesn’t reveal the changes at the rear, we can expect the Fortuner 2024 to offer slim wraparound LED tail lights.

2024 Toyota Fortuner Powertrain Details

Toyota are likely to offer the 2024 Fortuner with a 2.8L turbo diesel engine with mild-hybrid support. The carmaker have already confirmed the mild-hybrid diesel powertrain for the Hilux, which will go on sale in global markets next year. The mild-hybrid system consists of a 48V battery and an electric motor generator, which Toyota claim helps improve fuel economy by 10% over the non-hybrid diesel engine.

2024 Toyota Fortuner Launch Details

Toyota are likely to unveil the new-gen Fortuner in early 2024. The new Fortuner is likely to make its debut in Indonesia first before making its way to the Indian market. The current Toyota Fortuner leads its segment which comprises rivals like the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
