2024 Renault Duster SUV Reveal On November 29

Renault To Reveal New Duster SUV On November 29 | V3Cars

The new-generation Renault Duster is set to debut on November 29. Unlike its predecessor, the third generation Dacia Duster is expected to launch in India and accelerate Renault’s growth in the country. Let’s take a look at what the new Duster 2024 is likely to offer in terms of design, features and powertrain options.

New-Gen Renault Duster Exterior Design

The new Renault Duster was spied testing in Europe several times in the past. Based on the spy shots, it is evident that the new Duster borrows several design cues from the Dacia Bigster concept SUV. Spy shots of the new Duster revealed slim LED headlights with twin rectangular LED DRLs. These headlights seamlessly merge with a grille featuring a block pattern. Additionally, the front bumper sports vertical air dams and a mesh pattern for the radiator. Moving to the side, squared-off wheel arches, black alloy wheels, and bronze-coloured side mirrors catch the eye. At the rear, the new Duster is expected to feature a slightly sloping roofline, accompanied by a distinctive roof spoiler and vertically-stacked LED tail lights.

3rd-Gen Duster

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the new Duster is likely to offer the option of 5- and 7-seats. We expect the Duster 5-seater to compete in the C-segment while the Duster 7-seater could get an extended wheelbase, which could potentially place in the D1-SUV segment that is currently home to the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 7-seater.

New-Gen Renault Duster Interiors And Features

In the European market, the Duster is sold under the Dacia brand at an affordable price point. Consequently, it only offers essential features, including a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic air conditioning. However, as the Duster competes with the Hyundai Creta and other C-segment SUVs in the Indian market, we expect the new Duster to be fully equipped with all the desirable features expected from a C-segment SUV. Therefore, the new Duster could feature a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree parking camera, and an electronically-adjustable driver seat.

2024 Renault Duster Expected Powertrain Details

In terms of powertrain, we expect the next-gen Duster to come with petrol engine options. Renault could continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol engine and 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that were on offer with the old Duster. Additionally, since Renault are testing the Arkana hybrid on Indian roads, they could also consider a strong hybrid powertrain for their future products, including the Duster, to take on the strong hybrid variants of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The 3rd-gen Duster SUV could make its India debut in 2025. It will rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Apart from the Duster, Renault also plan to launch another SUV based on the CMF-B platform and a small electric hatchback in India. You can read more about them by clicking the link below.
