Exclusive: Hyundai Creta N Line India Launch In March-April 2024 | V3Cars
Hyundai has just launched the Creta facelift, and the carmaker is set to launch a sportier version of their newest C-segment SUV – the Creta N Line. The N Line version should go on sale by April 2024, sources close to the development confirm V3Cars. In this article, we take a look at the expected features, variants and powertrain options of the Creta N Line.
Hyundai Creta N Line Expected Powertrain
Considering Hyundai’s other N Line offerings – the i20 N Line and Venue N Line – are powered by turbo petrol engines, we expect the Creta N Line to come with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine only. Hyundai are unlikely to offer any more power or torque over the standard variants of the Creta powered by this engine. So expect the Creta N Line to produce 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque.
As far as transmission options are concerned, the 2024 Creta turbo petrol is only offered with a 7-speed DCT. While the automatic transmission will be retained for the Creta N Line, Hyundai will offer it with a 6-speed manual transmission option for keen drivers and enthusiasts, just like in the i20 N Line and Venue N Line. In fact, the 1.5L turbo petrol with 6-speed manual option is already available in the Hyundai Verna.
Hyundai Creta N Line Expected Variants And Prices
Like the i20 N Line and Venue N Line before it, the Creta N Line is likely to come in 2 monotone and 2 dual-tone variants. While the i20 N Line and Venue N Line are available in N6 and N8 variants, the Creta N Line’s variants could be named N8 and N10 as the Creta is from a segment above.
Currently, the standard Hyundai Creta turbo petrol is only available in one variant – SX(O). It is priced at Rs. 20.0 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect Hyundai to price the Creta N Line base turbo petrol manual variant just below the Rs. 20.0 lakh mark to generate interest among those looking for a sporty C-segment SUV. The rest of the range could soar past the Rs. 20.0 lakh barrier. As far as rivals are concerned, the Hyundai Creta N Line could take on the Taigun GT and GT Plus and Kushaq Monte Carlo. Both SUVs are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and get both manual and automatic transmission options. They are currently priced just below the Rs. 20.0 lakh mark.

Hyundai Creta N Line Design Changes
Being an N Line product, expect the Creta N Line to feature similar design flourishes as the Venue N Line and i20 N Line. So, we could expect a chrome studded front grille, red accents on the front lip spoiler, wheel arches, side sills and rear bumper, a sporty looking rear roof spoiler and dual exhaust outlets. The interior could feature an all-black treatment with several red accents peppered around to create a more sporty ambience compared to the standard Creta.
As far as features are concerned, the Hyundai Creta N Line is likely to retain the standard Creta’s 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-built navigation, in-built music streaming via Jio Saavan, 8-speaker Bose premium sound system, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, 8-way powered driver’s seat, Panoramic sunroof with voice command, and 3 drive modes (eco, normal, sport).
Hyundai Creta N Line Expected Safety Features
The upcoming Hyundai Creta N Line could offer the following safety features as standard:
- 6 airbags
- 3-point seatbelts for all seats
- Disc brakes on all 4 wheels
- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- Hill-start assist (HSA)
- Emergency stop signal
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
The top variants of the Creta N Line could also offer surround view monitor, electro chromic IRVM with telematics switches, electric parking brake with auto hold, front parking sensor and even Level-2 ADAS features like smart cruise control with stop and go, lane keeping assist, and blind-spot view monitor.
