The Tata Safari facelift was spotted on test once again and the new set of images give us a sneak peek into the revamped interior of the upcoming family SUV. Read on to know more about the upcoming Tata Safari facelift.

Tata Safari Facelift Interior Changes

Like the exterior, the interior of the upcoming Safari facelift also boasts cosmetic and functional changes, as seen in the images. The new set of images reveal the new design for the centre console that incorporates a smaller gear lever, which is somewhat similar to Jaguar and Land Rover cars. The Safari facelift continues to feature the rotary knob for the ESP-based terrain modes. Other details include an electronic parking brake and twin cup holders.

Furthermore, the images also reveal a new control panel for the air-con controls, however, the details aren’t clearly visible owing to reflections. We expect the Safari facelift to offer capacitive buttons for the air-con controls like first seen on the Tata Curvv concept. The same controls are also likely to make their way to the Harrier facelift as well. Apart from that, the new Safari facelift will also feature a digital instrument cluster and a new 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.

2023 Tata Safari Facelift Powertrain Details

The new Safari facelift is likely to get the same 2.0L turbo diesel as the current model. It could also get Tata’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine. Tata Motors showcased their new 1.2L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines at the Auto Expo and the latter will power the Harrier and Safari SUVs soon. Tata Motors say the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 170PS of power and 280Nm of torque. Furthermore, the Safari will continue to offer the FCA-sourced 2.0L turbo diesel engine that produces 170PS of power and 320Nm of torque. It will continue to offer both manual and automatic transmission options.

Tata Safari Facelift Launch Details

Earlier, we expected Tata Motors to launch the Safari facelift in late 2023. However, since Tata are busy readying the Nexon facelift for an August launch, the carmaker may postpone the launch of the updated Harrier and Safari to early 2024. The Safari facelift will continue to rival other D1-segment SUVs like the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700 and Toyota Innova Hycross.
