ADAS Confirmed In 2023 Hyundai Verna — Instrument Cluster Teased | V3Cars
Hyundai recently released a new teaser on their YouTube channel. The teaser confirms the presence of ADAS features in the car with the relevant icons in the instrument cluster MID.
If you look closely in the lower left corner of the MID, you’ll notice the icon for speed and lane markings on either side of a small car icon. The speed icon suggests the inclusion of adaptive cruise control while the lane markings hint towards the lane keep assist feature. Both of these confirm the presence of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the next-generation Hyundai Verna.
Flipped Steering Controls
The other notable thing worth mentioning is about the steering-mounted controls, which you can spot in the video at around 0:06 mark. Most other Hyundai cars have the media controls on the left spoke of the steering and cruise control + MID controls on the right. In the teaser, we can see that these controls have switched places in the Verna 2023. This time around, the car gets media controls on the right and other buttons on the left spoke of the steering wheel.
This is perhaps to accommodate the foreign markets as the Verna is an international product. It’s available in some right-hand drive countries as the Accent. Sharing the same layout across the board brings uniformity, simplifies the production process and helps with cutting some production costs.
