Toyota Glanza CNG Expected Prices — Unofficial Bookings Commence | V3Cars

Around the launch of the Glanza, Toyota India’s website listed the Glanza CNG for a brief time before it was taken down. A homologation document recently confirmed the arrival of the Glanza CNG. As per the leaked document, Toyota will offer the Glanza CNG in 3 variants — S, G and V.

Like Maruti Suzuki, we expect Toyota to charge a premium of Rs. 95,000 for the CNG option over the regular petrol variants. Maruti Suzuki offer the Baleno CNG in Delta and Zeta variants, which are similar to the Glanza’s S and G variants. However, we do not expect Toyota to offer the Glanza CNG in the V variant because of 2 reasons. Firstly, its expected ex-showroom price crosses the Rs. 10 lakh mark, which will attract more tax. Secondly, Maruti Suzuki do not offer the Baleno CNG in the top-spec Alpha variant either and since both the models share a common assembly line, it won’t be feasible to offer an exclusive variant to the Glanza.

With the G variant, the Glanza CNG offers features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 16-inch alloy wheels, 6 airbags, a full-colour MID, LED projector headlights, LED DRLs, LED tail lights and 60:40 rear seat split.

Toyota are likely to launch the Glanza CNG in the coming months. The Glanza CNG will become the 2nd premium hatchback in the market with a CNG option after its own Maruti Suzuki cousin, the Baleno CNG. However, Tata Motors are likely to join the party soon with the Altroz CNG.
