Hyundai Venue Facelift Spied For First Time | V3Cars
Hyundai are working on updating the Venue, their B2-segment SUV Venue and this is the first time we’re seeing it out in the open. A South Korean blog recently spotted the Venue facelift wearing heavy camouflage in a parking lot. The Venue went on sale in 2019 and is likely to get a mild refresh sometime in 2022. Hyundai generally give their cars a mid-life update in 3 years and a generation update in 6.
The obvious changes include a redesigned grille, which could borrow the new design cues from the bigger cars like the Santa Cruz and Tucson. The test car also has a new tail lamp design and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger with their 1.0L normal petrol engine along with the smaller Tata Punch have created a sub-segment for small SUV buyers. These smaller SUVs are affordable and have adequate performance for city use. Hyundai currently don’t have anything in this price band to compete with these cars.
We were hoping to see their small crossover Casper come to India but Hyundai have officially confirmed to us that it’s not in the plan right now.
