While the carmaker has not showcased the front fascia of the Tiguan Allspace facelift, thanks to a leaked image, we know it will look similar to the Tiguan facelift which was showcased in India in March 2021. It features new swept-back LED headlamps flanking the redesigned wider front grille. The front bumper is also new with redesigned air dams, a faux skid plate and huge C-shaped chrome elements. As confirmed in the teaser image, the side profile of the Tiguan Allspace looks identical to the pre-facelift model but it is expected to get a new set of alloy wheels.

The Tiguan Allspace facelift is expected to replicate the Tiguan facelift inside the cabin as well. Features on offer should include a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps with Volkswagen’s IQ technology, connected car tech, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, three-zone AC, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors and parking camera.

Under the hood, it will be offered with the same 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine as the current model. It makes 190PS and 320Nm paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and VW’s 4Motion 4WD system.

After debuting the Tiguan Allspace on 12 May 2021, Volkswagen is expected to launch the updated SUV in the global markets in the coming few months. However, expect the updated SUV to launch in India in 2022 only. Prices are expected to remain quite similar to the current model which retails at Rs 34.20 lakh (ex-showroom India). It will take on the likes of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq facelift and the upcoming 7-seater Jeep SUV.
