The carmaker also revealed a teaser of the Amaze facelift. The short video reveals a projector headlamps setup, which may have LED illumination behind the lens. The tail lamps also seem to have LED elements in them.

The new 2021 Amaze facelift will launch on August 18. Meanwhile, you can book yours for Rs. 21,000 if you prefer the in-person booking with a dealership. For online bookings, the token amount is only Rs. 5,000.

The current-gen Amaze launched early in 2018 and was first showcased at the Auto Expo. With this model, Honda brought a smooth CVT automatic transmission with a diesel engine. The premium for CVT was also pretty reasonable at about Rs. 80,000 on top of the diesel manual’s ex-showroom price. However, the CVT is not capable of handling all of the diesel torque. So, the power and torque output of the Amaze diesel CVT was significantly lower than the diesel manual.

The Amaze facelift will most likely continue with the same engine-transmission combo. That means 1.2-litre normal petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, both with a manual as well as CVT automatic transmission.
