The MG Hector is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo hybrid petrol engine. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine gets a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission, while the 1.5L turbo hybrid petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine of the Hector makes 143PS of power at 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3600rpm. The Scorpio-N’s turbo diesel engine makes 175PS of power at 3500rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3000rpm with the manual and 400Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2750rpm with the automatic transmission.
The 2.2L turbo diesel engine is also offered with a lower tune of 132PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3000rpm. This option is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The MG Hector is only available with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2550rpm.
