Tata Nexon Vs Hyundai Exter - Petrol Engine Spec Comparison (Expected)

The Nexon gets a 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which makes 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the Exter will come with a 1.2L normal petrol engine, which is likely to make 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque. This engine will come with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. Hyundai confirmed the engine options of the Exter and a turbo petrol unit was not among the powertrains confirmed for the 2023 Exter.

Hyundai Exter Vs Tata Nexon - CNG Bi-Fuel Engine Spec Comparison (Expected)

Besides the normal petrol-manual and automatic powertrains, Hyundai also confirmed that the Exter will get the CNG bi-fuel option with a manual transmission. While the specs aren’t out yet, we expect its performance figures to align with those of the Nios CNG. So, it could make 69PS of power and 95Nm of torque while claiming to deliver mileage of around 26kmpkg when running on CNG. Meanwhile, the Nexon doesn’t get a CNG fuel option.
