- The Hector Plus is the longer SUV here but the Safari is the widest and the tallest. As a result, where Hector should offer better legroom, the Safari should offer better shoulder room and headroom.
- The Alcazar has the longest wheelbase. It should offer the best second-row space of all.
- Save for the XUV500, all the SUVs are offered in 6-seater variants with captain seats in the second row.

- Only the Alcazar and the Hector Plus are offered with a petrol engine in this comparison.
- Where the Hyundai gets a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated unit, the Hector comes with a 1.5-litre turbo engine. The Hector also comes with a 48V mild hybrid system.
- The Alcazar makes 16PS more while the Hector takes lead in terms of torque. It makes 59Nm more than the Alcazar.
- While the Alcazar is offered only with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT, the Hector Plus is available with three transmission options offering more options to choose from 6-speed MT, CVT and 6-speed DCT. While a CVT gearbox is good for someone who likes to drive in a calm manner and prefers fuel economy over performance. The DCT automatic, on the other hand, is focused more on performance.

- The Alcazar comes with the smallest 1.5-litre engine making the least 115PS and 250Nm. It seems like a no comparison to other big diesel units here.
- The XUV500 gets the biggest 2.2-litre unit. It is not the most powerful but makes the highest torque.
- The Safari and the Hector Plus are powered by the same Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre unit making the highest 170PS and 350Nm of torque, 10Nm less than the XUV500.
- Save for the MG Hector Plus, all the SUV are offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Hector Plus comes with a 6-speed MT only.
- No SUV here is offered with a 4WD system. All of them are front-wheel-drive offerings.

In terms of safety, the Alcazar comes out as the winner. It sure does misses out on hill descent control but it is not much of an important feature since none of these SUV is an off-roader.

Looking at the features, all the SUVs are in an arm’s distance to each other. It is surprising to see the XUV500 being the oldest SUV here does not lags behind much to its other rivals. That said, the Alcazar seems to be the most well-equipped SUV here.
