As you can see in the table above, the Elevate offers a 1.5L normal petrol engine with the largest displacement of 1498cc. Only the Astor matches its engine displacement whereas the rest of the models sit below. Furthermore, the Elevate is also one of a few SUVs in the C-segment, which offer a normal petrol engine. Other SUVs like the Taigun/Kushaq and C3 Aircross offer turbo petrol engine options. It is worth mentioning that we haven’t included the more powerful turbo petrol engines of the Kushaq, Taigun and Astor for a fair comparison.

Speaking of the power figures, the Elevate turns out to be the most powerful SUV in this comparison. Its 1.5L normal petrol engine offers 121PS of power at 6600rpm which is marginally more than all the rivals, which hover in the range of 110PS to 115PS. However, the picture changes in terms of engine torque output. Since the Elevate comes with a normal petrol engine, its 145Nm torque output couldn’t match that of the turbo petrol engines, which go up to 190Nm in case of the Citroen C3 Aircross.

Speaking about the transmission choices, the Elevate offers a 6-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission option. Other SUVs in the segment also offer the CVT option like the Creta, Seltos and Astor. Other SUVs like the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder offer torque converter automatic transmission options. The C3 Aircross, on the other hand, only offers a 6-speed manual transmission. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Elevate offers decent figures against its rivals which go on to offer up to 27.97kmpl.
