Here are the cars, SUVs and MPVs MG showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. We’ve also included some detailed story links to help you get more information about the car. Let’s start with the showstopper cars that attracted the most attention and crowd at the auto show.
MG eHS Plug-In Hybrid SUV
The MG eHS is a plug-in hybrid offering from MG Motor that is currently on sale in European markets. The MG EHS comes with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine along with a plug-in-hybrid setup. The engine alone produces 161PS of power and 250Nm of torque between 1700rpm and 4300rpm. The electric motor produces 122PS of power and 230Nm of torque and it draws power from a 16.6kWh battery pack. MG currently do not offer any plug-in hybrid model in the market and the eHS could be the perfect way to kick start their journey in the said segment.
MG Euniq 7
MG Motor India showcased the Euniq 7 at the 2023 Auto Expo. The details of the Euniq 7 are scarce as it is yet to go on sale in global markets. The Euniq 7 comes with an electric fuel-cell powertrain that offers a total power output of 201PS. It comes with a 6.4kg hydrogen cylinder which offers a claimed range of 605km. While a 6.4kg cylinder seems very small relative to an ICE-powered car, the cylinder can contain heavily compressed hydrogen and the only tailpipe emission from the Euniq 7 is water.

MG Mifa 9 Electric MPV
MG also showcased the Mifa 9 electric family mover that is larger than the Kia Carnival. It comes with a 90kWh battery pack that promises up to 520km of range on a single charge. It supports 11kW AC charger and we expect it to comply with DC fast charging support as well. The Mifa 9 offers 244PS of power and 350Nm of torque. In terms of dimensions, the Mifa 9 measures 5270mm in length, 2000mm in width, 1840mm in height and offers a boot space of 466L. If MG decide to launch the Mifa 9 in India, it will sit above the BYD e6 and Kia Carnival.
MG4 Electric Hatchback
The MG4 is MG’s latest electric hatchback and it sits on an all-electric skateboard platform. MG offer the MG4 with 2 battery pack options — 51kWh and 64kWh. While it looks small thanks to its hatchback styling, the MG4 actually measures similar to the MG ZS EV. The larger 64kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of up to 450km on a single charge. The Trophy edition of the MG4 comes with a twin motor setup that offers 203PS of power and 250Nm of torque. MG are evaluating the MG4 for the Indian market and it could boost the carmaker’s market share in the electric vehicle segment.

The MG5 can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in just 61 minutes using a 50kW charger. MG are also considering the MG5 for the Indian market and its already on sale in European markets.
