Hyundai Likely To Showcase Creta Facelift SUV At Auto Expo 2023
Hyundai India are likely to showcase the Creta Facelift SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. Let’s discuss the details like expected dimensions and engine specs, expected launch timeline, rivals and expected price of the Hyundai Creta Facelift.
Most Notable Features Of Hyundai Creta Facelift
The most notable feature of the Hyundai Creta facelift is undoubtedly its updated design and enhanced safety features. The biggest design change is at the front of the Creta SUV. It gets a new grille which is similar to the one available with the bigger Hyundai SUVs such as the Tucson and Palisade. Meanwhile, the ASEAN NCAP recently crash-tested the Hyundai Creta facelift and awarded it a 5-star safety rating. You can read more about how it performed by clicking the link below.

The side profile of the Hyundai Creta facelift SUV remains similar to the current model. However, Hyundai are likely to equip the India-spec Creta facelift with new alloy wheel designs. The rear of the Creta facelift SUV gets a new roof-mounted stop light, which leaves a sharp crease line on the boot lid. The graphics in the LED taillights get a redesign as well.
On the inside, dashboard layout remains similar to the second-gen Creta. A few notable features of the Creta facelift could be a digital instrument cluster, 360-degree parking camera, adaptive cruise control and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. ADAS features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and auto emergency braking will help the Creta facelift compete with MG Astor and Mahindra XUV700 in India.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Expected Specs
The Hyundai Creta facelift SUV is likely to retain its current set of engines and transmission options. These include a 1.5L normal petrol, 1.35L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. While the petrol engines are available with both manual and automatic transmissions, the diesel engine is only offered with an automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta CNG was spotted testing in India in November and we expect Hyundai to launch the affordable fuel alternative of the SUV in the second half of 2023. Hyundai are likely to offer the CNG option with the 1.35L turbo petrol engine and you can read more about it here.

Hyundai Creta Facelift Rivals
The Hyundai Creta facelift will continue to rival other C-segment SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Nexa Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and the Volkswagen Taigun.
Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch Timeline
Hyundai will showcase the Creta facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo and the updated Hyundai C-segment SUV will go on sale in mid-2023. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta CNG could launch in the second half of 2023 to cash in on festive buying.
Hyundai Creta Facelift Expected Price
The Hyundai Creta facelift will cost more than the current version of the SUC thanks to the refreshed design and addition of ADAS features coupled with ever-increasing input costs. We expect Hyundai to charge a premium of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, depending on the variant, considering the additional features and the brand’s price hike trends from the past. The higher variants could see a bigger price increase to account for the ADAS features, which will not come in the lower trims.
