Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Gets A Manual Transmission

Volkswagen have answered the prayers of Indian automotive enthusiasts. Until now, the Virtus GT Plus was only available with a DCT. While DCTs offer faster shift times than a manual transmission, the latter provides a more engaging driving experience. The introduction of the 6-speed manual transmission in the Virtus GT Plus not only reduces the entry point for the sporty C2-segment sedan but also offers better reliability in the long run. The 6-speed manual transmission is the same gearbox that does duty on the 1.5L turbo petrol manual variants of the Virtus’ Czech cousin – the Skoda Slavia.
