Volkswagen Tiguan Sold Out Till March 2022 - Deliveries Commenced | V3Cars

Volkswagen India launched the Tiguan last month and as the company states, it has been sold out for Q1 of 2022 already. The deliveries of the new Tiguan have now commenced across India. Volkswagen India are assembling the new Tiguan here in India and that could also be the reason for its quick sales.

In terms of changes, it gets a new face with an updated grille, sleeker LED headlights, and bumper design, over the pre-facelifted model. The side profile of the new Tiguan remains more or less the same as before, whereas the rear profile gets updated LED tail lights and Tiguan lettering spread out across the boot.

On the inside, while the dashboard layout remains the same as before, we get new tech features. A new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits in the center and it also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other key features include digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, Matrix LED headlights, 30-colour ambient lighting, electrically-adjustable front seats, and type-C charging ports.

On the powertrain front, the Tiguan comes with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. It produces 190PS of power from 4200 - 6000rpm and 320Nm of torque from 1500 - 4100rpm. The engine comes mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and 4-wheel-drive. The Tiguan offers an ARAI-claimed fuel economy of 12.65kmpl.

Volkswagen India priced the Tiguan at Rs. 31.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Tiguan comes in a single variant named Elegance. Talking about the rivals, the Tiguan takes on likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
