Upcoming Toyota Cars In 2024 - New Taisor And More | V3Cars

Here’s a list of all upcoming Toyota cars that are set to launch in India in 2024. Toyota’s upcoming cars in 2024 include a new crossover SUV, a sporty hatchback and an electric SUV. For each car, we’ve also included tentative launch timelines based on our interaction with the brand as well as media reports and online rumours. Let’s begin the list with cars that are likely to launch in early 2024.

Toyota Upcoming Cars And SUVs In 2024

1. New Toyota Taisor - February 2024

Taisor

Toyota are likely to kickstart 2024 with the new Taisor. The Taisor is expected to be a rebadged version of the Maruti Nexa Fronx. So we expect it to feature the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.2-litre normal petrol engine as the popular Nexa SUV. In the Fronx, the turbo petrol engine produces 100PS of power and 148Nm of torque and comes with 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The normal petrol engine produces 90PS and 113Nm and comes with a 5-speed manual and automated manual transmission (AMT) option. Like the Fronx, the Taisor could also get the option of a CNG powertrain. To know our expected price calculation for the Taisor, click the link below.

2. 2024 Toyota Fortuner - Mid 2024

2024 Fortuner

In August 2023, the Thai-spec Fortuner received an update that packed more features and a more powerful diesel engine than before. For example, the base-spec Fortuner in the Thai market received new features like a wireless phone charger, 360-degree parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), blind spot monitoring system and rear cross traffic alert.

Meanwhile, the Legender variant received new features like a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist.

Last but not least, the Fortuner GR Sport variant received a more powerful 2.8L turbo diesel engine that produces 224PS of power and 550Nm of torque, which is 20PS and 50Nm more than the Legender. The 2024 Fortuner could make its way to India by mid-2024.

3. Toyota Glanza Sport

Glanza Sport

Toyota showcased the Glanza Sport concept hatchback at the 2023 Auto Expo. While there are no launch plans in sight for the Glanza Sport, we would love to see Toyota introduce a sporty hatchback on Indian shores. In fact, we know a few enthusiasts who would love to see Maruti Suzuki and Toyota plonk the 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit from the Fronx into the Baleno/Glanza and launch them as a sporty alternative to the plain jane hatchbacks. The Glanza Sport showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 showcased the following features:

  • Sporty front bumper
  • Front lip splitter with faux carbon fibre trim
  • Red inserts on headlights, grille and bumper
  • Blacked-out roof and ORVMs
  • 17-inch black alloy wheels
  • Red brake callipers
  • New rear bumper
  • Faux centre exhaust
  • Faux rear diffuser
  • Leather seats with red piping
  • Flat-bottom steering wheel with carbon fibre inserts
