Purulia, 17 October 2023: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) successfully wrapped up its 'Great 4X4 Expedition by Toyota' in the East region, marking an extraordinary journey filled with the thrill of off-roading. This is the latest edition of 'Great 4X4 Expedition by Toyota' series, which commenced with a zonal expedition in Southern India and continued through Western and Northern regional drives. Throughout this incredible journey, the expedition has captured the hearts of discerning 4X4 enthusiasts, offering a thrilling and immersive experience.

The experiential drive featured an impressive line-up of exceptional 4X4 SUVs, including the Hilux, LC300, Fortuner, and Hyryder AWD (All Wheel Drive). These Toyota 4X4 SUVs, acclaimed for their unparalleled off-road capabilities coupled with absolute driving comfort, illuminated the journey, showcasing outstanding performance and enhancing the overall experience with their unique product attributes and features.

The expedition which started off at the breath-taking backdrop of Ajodhya Hill Top in Purulia, West Bengal, embodied the indomitable spirit of adventure and off-roading excellence that defines Toyota's 4X4 SUVs. Furthermore, the expedition brought together a diverse group of participants, including owners of Toyota and various other SUV brands, creating a dynamic and electrifying atmosphere with full of excitement. Notably, the meticulously designed 4-wheel drive (4WD) trail, featuring natural obstacles such as articulation, side inclines, rugged stretches, deep ditches, muddy terrain, and rocky terrain beds, pumped up the true sense of adrenaline amongst the 4X4 participants, with seasoned 4X4 experts providing close guidance to ensure a safe and enjoyable expedition. In addition, the participants also immersed themselves in the scenic beauty of the region, explore historical points of interest along the way, including recreational engagements to keep the spirit high.

TKM and the 4X4 participants actively engaged in a clean-up drive, which involved collection, segregation, and disposal of waste at an identified location, thereby contributing towards nature preservation in the region. Furthermore, TKM, through a collaboration with NGO Sankalp Taru, provided an opportunity to participants to virtually plant a sapling, towards reducing carbon footprints. In accordance, saplings were planted on behalf of each participant and further ensure upkeeping of the trees, thereby fostering positive contributions to the environment.
