Skoda To Launch Model Year Updates For Kushaq And Slavia

Updated Skoda Kushaq And Slavia Coming In 2023 | V3Cars

Skoda India have confirmed their plans to launch the updated Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan in 2023. Skoda India aim to strengthen their growth in 2023 by updating their lineup and bringing fresh products as well.

Kushaq And Slavia

Skoda India witnessed fantastic growth in 2022, thanks to the made-in-India Kushaq and Slavia. The Czech carmaker recorded a growth of 543% in May 2022 over May 2021, with sales of 4,604 units. Skoda aim to end 2022 with 50,000 sales and plan to expand their sales to 60,000 units for the year 2023.

Skoda recently launched the anniversary edition of the Kushaq SUV with cosmetic enhancements, anniversary edition decals and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster. For 2023, Skoda will bring MY23 updates for both Kushaq and Slavia, with small cosmetic updates and functional enhancements. Skoda will also launch the Slavia Monte Carlo edition, which will go on sale alongside the Kushaq Monte Carlo.

In our interaction with Skoda India’s former head, Zac Hollis, we learnt that Skoda will bring small updates to the Kushaq and Slavia every year and launch facelifts after 2-3 years to keep the range fresh and up to date. While the Kushaq faces stiff competition from the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, the Slavia is going to face fierce competition from the upcoming new-gen Hyundai Verna.

Apart from bringing model year updates for the Kushaq and Slavia, the Czech carmaker will also bring new products to our market. While Skoda are yet to reveal the upcoming products, we can expect them to bring the Octavia vRS, 2023 Superb, 2023 Kodiaq and all-electric Enyaq SUV, all via the CBU route. Skoda are likely to pull the plug on the Octavia and Superb in early 2023, owing to stringent BS6-2 emission norms.
