Official: Skoda To Increase Prices From Jan 1 | V3Cars

Skoda India recently notified us about a price hike from January 1, 2024. The reasons for the price hike quoted in the notification are the usual suspects: inflation and rising input costs. Skoda have stated that the price hike will be in the 2% range on the ex-showroom cost of their cars such as the Slavia sedan, and Kushaq and Kodiaq SUVs.

The statement reads:

Škoda Auto India has announced a price hike of around 2% across its range from January 1, 2024. The hike will be effective on the entire range of Škoda Auto India vehicles -- the Kushaq SUV, the Slavia sedan and the Kodiaq luxury 4x4. Over the last couple of weeks, several car manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, MG Motor, Audi and BMW have announced price hikes in the range of 1-2% effective from January 1, 2024. Hence, it is not surprising that Skoda India are also set to hike the prices of their cars.

Meanwhile, the L&K variant of the Skoda Kodiaq D-segment SUV received a price cut of Rs. 1.96 lakh, or 4.67% of its ex-showroom cost, in November 2023. However, with the upcoming price hike, the top variant of the Kodiaq could breach past the Rs. 40.0 lakh price bracket yet again.
