Renault Arkana Coupe SUV Spied In India | V3Cars
The Renault Arkana coupe SUV has been spied undergoing tests in India. The spy shots suggest that Renault India could be considering the Arkana SUV coupe for the domestic market. If launched, expect Renault India to bring the Arkana via the CBU (completely built unit) route.
The Renault Arkana was first unveiled in Russia in May 2019. It follows a coupe SUV design language, similar to the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. If Renault India decides to launch the Arkana in India, it could be offered as the French carmaker’s flagship product for our market. Currently, Renault India only offer affordable cars, such as the Kwid, Triber and Kiger, in India.

The Renault Arkana measures 4,568mm in length, 2,034mm in width, 1,576mm in height, and gets a wheelbase of 2,720mm. The coupe SUV features LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED tail lights.
The Renault Arkana sold in global markets is offered with several features. Highlights include a vertically-stacked touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a digital instrument cluster, powered and heated driver and front passenger seats, automatic climate control, a premium Bose sound system, and hands-free parking.

Renault offer the Arkana with two engine options – a 1.3L turbo petrol and a 1.6L normal petrol. The turbo-petrol comes equipped with a mild-hybrid system while the regular petrol engine gets a self-charging hybrid system. The 1.3L turbo petrol engine puts out 140PS of power and 260Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.6L normal petrol makes 142PS of power and 148Nm of torque, while the electric motor is capable of dishing out 250Nm of torque when required.
If launched in India, the Renault Arkana will not have any direct rivals. However, Mahindra and Tata are reported to be working on a coupe version of their popular SUVs, the XUV700 and the Nexon.
