Recall Issued For Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R, Celerio And Ignis | V3Cars
Maruti Suzuki have issued a recall for the Wagon-R, Celerio and Ignis hatchbacks. These models have been recalled to rectify a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin. Maruti Suzuki dealerships will contact affected customers and offer repairs free of cost.
Maruti Suzuki have issued a recall for over 9,925 hatchbacks manufactured between 3rd August 2022 and 1st September 2022. The defect in the rear brake assembly pin could break and cause a peculiar noise. Furthermore, it could also impact the braking performance in the long run.

As we stated earlier, Maruti Suzuki dealerships will contact customers of the affected cars. However, in case you want to check for yourself, you can visit Maruti Suzuki’s India website and enter your vehicle’s chassis number to know whether your vehicle is affected or not. If your car is part of the affected batch, you can visit your nearest Maruti Suzuki service centre and get the affected part replaced for free. It is worth noting that the availability of the part could vary from state to state.

Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki also announced a recall for the Dzire Tour S models for a faulty airbag control unit. Maruti Suzuki recalled 166 affected Dzire Tour S sedans that were manufactured between 6th August 2022 and 16th August 2022. The airbags in the affected cars may not deploy in case of an accident. Users can visit Maruti Suzuki service centres to get their cars inspected and seek a free replacement for the faulty part.
