2022 Range Rover Sport Launched In India — Prices Start From Rs. 1.64 Crore | V3Cars

Soon after its global launch, Land Rover India have announced the prices for the Range Rover Sport. Land Rover India are currently accepting orders only for the diesel-powered variants, while other engine options are likely to be offered at a later date. Land Rover offer the Range Rover Sport in four variants — SE, HSE, Autobiography and First edition. Land Rover have listed the Range Rover Sport as a 2023 model and deliveries are likely to begin by November 2022.

The India-spec Range Rover Sport comes equipped with a 3.0L inline-6 turbo-diesel engine. The India-spec Range Rover Sport comes with a single state – 350PS of power and 700Nm of torque. In global markets, this 3.0L turbo-diesel engine comes with two more power options – 250PS and 300PS. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive.

The 2023 Range Rover Sport features a sleeker design than its predecessor. In fact, the new Sport falls in line with the JLR’s latest and greatest flagship, the Range Rover.

2022 Range Rover Sport

Up front, the Range Rover Sport gets a sleeker interpretation of the Range Rover grille and thinner LED headlights. At the side, the Range Rover Sport gets flush-fitting door handles to help it achieve an impressive drag coefficient of 0.29. At the rear, the Range Rover Sport now gets sleeker LED taillights and a black tailgate applique with the ‘Range Rover’ lettering at the centre.

Like the exteriors, the 2023 Range Rover Sport borrows its tech features and dashboard layout from the new Range Rover. At the centre of the dashboard is a new 13.1-inch curved infotainment system with Pivi Pro interface. It supports various connected apps along with Alexa support. In addition to that, it offers wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a 29-speaker Meridian sound system. Other features in the new Range Rover Sport include a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, active noise cancellation, adaptive off-road cruise control and cabin air purification.

2022 Range Rover Sport

The 2022 Range Rover Sport goes up against the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90. However, the latter two models mentioned also offer the option of 7-seats whereas the Range Rover Sport, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE only come with 5 seats.
