Ola Electric Sedan Patent Image Leaked

The new patent image reveals the design of what seems to be the early concept of the upcoming electric sedan. Its design looks inspired by Tesla models, owing to the presence of a flat nose and sleek headlights. The patent image reveals an enclosed front end without any opening for air flow. It also gets a sleek design for the headlights, which is connected by a lightbar in the middle.

The side profile of the concept sedan is devoid of any door handles although the production model could offer physical door handles. Other details include sleek outside rear view mirrors, which could be camera based, and a sloping roofline. The overall body design seems sleek and could help Ola achieve their claimed drag coefficient of 0.21Cd.

Ola Electric Sedan Interior Details

While the patent image doesn’t reveal any details about the interiors of the upcoming EV model, Ola revealed the teaser images, giving us a sneak peek into the interior of the concept electric model. On the inside, the Ola electric sedan could offer a vertically-stacked touchscreen infotainment system running on the brand's MoveOS. Furthermore, it could also offer a large digital driver’s display along with a 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Ola logo.

Ola Electric Sedan Powertrain Details

On the powertrain front, the upcoming Ola electric sedan could use a skateboard platform and battery capacity of around 70-80kWh. Ola revealed that their electric models will offer a claimed range of upwards of 500km on a single charge. Furthermore, we expect the Ola electric sedan to offer good performance with a 0-100kmph acceleration time of under 4 seconds. 

Ola Electric Sedan Launch Details

Ola Electric could reveal their first all-electric model towards the end of 2024. While the first model is likely to be a sedan, future Ola electric models could include an SUV and a hatchback. The upcoming Ola Electric sedan is likely to compete premium segment with an expected price tag of upwards of Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
