Volkswagen Say No Waiting Period For The Virtus

No Waiting Period For The Virtus — Enough Cars To Meet Current Demand | V3Cars

At the launch of the Volkswagen Virtus, the company’s officials revealed that there is no waiting period on any variants of the Virtus currently. Volkswagen have enough Virtus sedans to meet the current demand. Volkswagen India also confirmed to us that the Virtus doesn't have a waiting period for the next two months.

VW Virtus

Volkswagen kickstarted the production of the Virtus back in March 2021, ahead of its launch. However, the cars only started rolling off the factory floor in May as the Virtus has a production figure of 2,177 units in the last month. Volkswagen delayed the launch to June 9, which was earlier expected to take place in May. In the meantime, Volkswagen found themselves ample time to mass-produce the Virtus and have enough units in the buffer.

Volkswagen managed to find a sweet spot between demand and supply and it will surely improve customer satisfaction as the wait times remain in check. However, it’s not always rainbows and sunshine for Volkswagen. Their sister brand, Skoda, are suffering from the ongoing semiconductor shortage. We see a few feature deletions and shuffling in the Kushaq and Slavia to meet the demand. We can expect a similar set of events to take place in the case of Volkswagen as well if the need to do so arises.
