Nissan Showcase Magnite Kuro Edition & Magnite AMT | V3Cars
Nissan India teased the Magnite Kuro edition on September 15. Now, ahead of the 2023 festive season, Nissan have showcased the Magnite Kuro edition as well as the Magnite EZ-Shift AMT. Read on to know more.
Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition – What Does It Offer?
As anticipated, the Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition gets an all-black treatment inside-out. On the outside, the Magnite Kuro offers an all black grille, grille surrounds, skid plates, roof rails, door handles, alloy wheels. It even features black accents in the headlamps. Other changes over the standard Magnite include red brake calipers.
The Magnite Kuro is based on the VX variant of the standard Magnite SUV. Apart from a black roof liner, sun visors, door cards, door handles, steering wheel and AC vent surrounds, the Magnite Kuro also offers the following features:
- 360-degree parking camera
- 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Wireless charger
- 6 speakers
- Rear AC vents
As part of Nissan’s collaboration with the ICC World Cup 2023, the Magnite Kuro will be the official car of the upcoming tournament. The Magnite Kuro is slated to go on sale on October 7, two days after the cricket world cup kicks off. Nissan dealerships are currently accepting bookings for the Magnite Kuro for a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
The Magnite Kuro is available with the same engine options as the standard Magnite. Hence, buyers get to choose from a 1.0L normal petrol that puts 72PS of power at 6250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3500rpm and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine that produces 100PS of power at 5000rpm and 160Nm of torque between 2800rpm and 3600rpm.

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift AMT Showcased
Alongside the Magnite Kuro edition, Nissan also showcased the Magnite EZ-Shift. As reported earlier, the Magnite EZ-Shift is only available with the 1.0L normal petrol engine. Thus, the Magnite 1.0L normal petrol now gets 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The AMT option will be available across all variants – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium – of the Magnite 1.0L normal petrol
The Magnite 1.0L turbo petrol, on the other hand, continues to offer a 5-speed manual option or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Nissan Magnite Kuro And Magnite AMT Prices
Nissan India are yet to reveal the prices of the Magnite Kuro and Magnite AMT. Currently, the Magnite XV variant is priced at Rs. 7.81 lakh for the normal petrol-manula and Rs. 9.19 lakh for the turbo petrol-manual. We expect Nissan to charge a slight premium for the Magnite Kuro over the corresponding Magnite XV variants.
In terms of rivals, the Nissan Magnite Kuro edition will compete with the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Nexa Fronx, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, and the new Tata Nexon 2023, among others.
