Mercedes-Benz India 2023 Roadmap — 10 New Cars Incoming | V3Cars

At the launch of the E53 AMG Cabriolet, Mercedes-Benz India announced their roadmap for 2023, which includes 10 new cars for our market. While the E53 AMG Cabriolet was the first of these 10 cars to go on sale in India, Mercedes-Benz confirmed their plans to launch the new-gen GLC SUV later this year. Details about other products are still under wraps. However, we expect Mercedes-Benz to launch a couple of electric vehicles from their EQ range in 2023.

Mercedes-Benz India To Launch 10 Cars In 2023

The first car out of the 10 new cars for India is the E53 AMG Cabriolet, which is priced at Rs. 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). Mercedes-Benz also revealed that the new-gen GLC will hit our shores in the 3rd quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the carmaker also teased a new G-Class finished in red paint. However, the carmaker didn’t reveal any product details.

New-Gen Mercedes-Benz GLC

The new-gen GLC comes with an updated design along with larger dimensions over the outgoing model. It features an updated face and sleeker LED tail lights whereas the AMG Line variants add sportier bumpers and wheels. On the inside, the new GLC gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

All powertrain options of the new GLC now feature a mild-hybrid system. Currently, the C-Class is the only Mercedes-Benz in India to offer a mild-hybrid diesel powertrain. The mild-hybrid engine options come with an integrated starter generator that boosts power and torque by 23PS and 200Nm when needed. The plug-in-hybrid models come with a 138PS electric motor and an all-electric driving range of 100km. Mercedes-Benz are likely to reveal the powertrain details of the India-bound GLC closer to its launch.
