Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Sports Sedan Launched At Rs. 3.3 Crore | V3Cars
Mercedes-Benz India have launched their most powerful series production model in India — AMG GT 63 S E Performance. The new GT 63 S E Performance now takes the top shelf in Mercedes-AMG’s India portfolio.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Powertrain Details
The AMG GT 63 S E Performance is the first AMG model to get electrified. It uses a 4.0L twin-turbocharged petrol engine, which is further mated to an electric motor. The electric motor sits at the rear axle and draws power from a 6.1kWh battery pack. The engine and electric motor offer 639PS and 204PS, respectively, with a total system output of 843PS. The torque output from the engine and electric motor stand at 900Nm and 320Nm and Mercedes-AMG claim that the GT 63 S E Performance can deliver a peak torque of 1470Nm in certain conditions.

Thanks to all that performance, the GT 63 S E Performance can do the 0-100kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds and touch a limited top speed of 316kmph. It offers a charging port at the rear, which uses a 3.7kW AC onboard charger. Furthermore, the GT 63 S E Performance is also capable of charging the battery pack by using 4 levels of regenerative braking.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Trackpace
For Indian customers, Mercedes-AMG have also added India’s only FIA grade-1 certified racetrack — Buddh International Circuit — to the Trackpace app. The Trackpace app is available within the MBUX infotainment system and it calculates your lap time record. Furthermore, what’s also exclusive to the Indian customers of the AMG GT 63 S E Performance is the key handover by the 7 time Formula 1 world champion — Lewis Hamilton.
