Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming cars in 2024 include an all-new version of their popular hatchback, a new B2-segment sedan, and various special editions and facelifts.. 1. New Maruti Suzuki Swift - September 2024

The new Swift hatchback was showcased at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show and test mules of the next-generation hatchback were spotted on Indian roads recently. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to debut with a brand new petrol engine. In Japan, the Swift is available with a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with and without a mild-hybrid system. While the Swift’s new mild-hybrid engine produces 85PS of power and 168Nm of torque, the normal petrol engine puts out 82PS and 108Nm, which is 1PS and 13Nm less than the current-gen Swift’s 4-cylinder normal petrol engine. 2. New Maruti Suzuki Dzire - Late 2024

2024 Dzire

Maruti Suzuki are expected to launch the popular Dzire B2-segment sedan soon after the launch of the new Swift hatchback. Like before, the new Dzire will share its platform, powertrains and features with the Swift and continue to remain the best-selling sedan in India. The new Dzire sedan could gain more safety features than the current model and its top variants could even get ADAS features.

3. Maruti Suzuki Special Editions And Facelifts

Since the EVX is still some time away from hitting the production line and Maruti Suzuki do not seem to have any new products apart from the new Swift and Dzire lined up for launch in 2024, we expect the homegrown carmaker to launch several special editions of its current models like the Alto, Celerio and the WagonR. These special editions could get unique vinyl decals and additional features, and offer exceptional value to help them stand out from the sea of hatchbacks on Indian roads.

While the Maruti Suzuki WagonR received a mild facelift in 2023, the tall-boy hatchback was spotted all throughout 2023 with a thoroughly revamped face. However, we do not expect Maruti Suzuki to launch this version of the WagonR anytime soon and in all probability, the test mules we spotted in 2023 could have been a test bed for Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming electric powertrain for small hatchbacks and sedans.
