Swift CNG - Maruti Suzuki Dealers Open Unofficial Bookings | V3Cars

A few Maruti Suzuki dealerships have started accepting orders for the upcoming Swift CNG. The long awaited Swift CNG will launch soon. The Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG will use the same powertrain as in the Dzire CNG.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the best selling hatchbacks in the country. Currently, the Swift comes with a sole 1.2L normal petrol engine, with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. As per a few dealers, Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the Swift CNG with the 1.2L normal petrol engine.

In the Dzire, this engine produces 77PS of power at 6000rpm and 98.5Nm of torque 4300rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. Maruti Suzuki are yet to offer an automated manual transmission with any of their CNG offerings.

In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG is likely to offer all the features seen in the VXI and ZXI variants. In the ZXi trim, the Swift CNG could offer single tone alloy wheels, LED tail lights, fog lamps, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and keyless entry with push-button start/stop.

Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG will rival other CNG hatchbacks like the Tata Tiago CNG and Hyundai Grand-i10 Nios CNG. It is worth noting that when launched, the Swift CNG will become the most powerful CNG hatchback in its segment. Currently, the Tata Tiago CNG leads in terms of output figures, with a power and torque output of 73PS and 95Nm respectively.
