Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 Concept To Be Unveiled On October 26

Suzuki To Showcase 2024 Swift Concept Later This Month | V3Cars

Suzuki are set to showcase the 2024 Swift concept hatchback later this month at the Japan Mobility Show. Apart from a host of EVs, including the upcoming eVX, Suzuki will also showcase the 2024 Maruti Swift in its concept form. Let’s take a look at the 2024 Swift images Suzuki released ahead of the show.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 Concept

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 Design

The 2024 Swift concept from Suzuki retains all the traditional design cues the Swift is known for. Although Suzuki call the car in the images a concept, we think it looks close to production-ready. Like 3 generations of the Swift before, the new Swift retains the black-out treatment for the A- and B-pillar. The car in the image features a dual-tone paint finish with a black roof and C-pillar. The most prominent changes on the 2024 Swift are the new clamshell bonnet and the crease that runs the length of the car and above the door handles. Speaking of door handles, the rear door handles are conventionally placed this time around.

The new Swift 2024 features an octagonal front grille with gloss black surrounds and the Suzuki logo sits just above it. The headlamps feature LED projector units and J-shaped LED DRLs. The fog lamps are placed lower down on the bumper in a gloss black enclosure and the lower bumper gets a silver skid plate to complete the sporty look. While we do not have images of the Swift 2024’s rear end, we expect it to feature LED taillamps, a roof spoiler with a high mount stop lamp and chunky bumpers just like the current car.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift To Get More Safety Features?

The image released by Suzuki reveals cameras mounted on the front windshield as well as the ORVMs. Suzuki say the 2024 Swift will offer safety features such as dual sensor brake support, collision mitigation system, adaptive high beam system, and a driver monitoring system. However, it remains to be seen if these features make their way into the India-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Powertrain Options

Suzuki are yet to reveal the powertrain options of the 2024 Swift. However, we expect the India-spec new-gen Swft to retain the current model’s 1.2L normal petrol engine with dualjet technology. In the current Swift, this engine produces 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. This engine is currently offered with the option of a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). We expect these transmissions to be retained as well. Additionally, the India-spec Swift is also offered witht the option of a CNG engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. While this option may not be available at the launch of the new Swift in India, we expect Maruti to offer this option at a later date as CNG car sales are at all-time high.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift India Launch

We expect Suzuki to showcase the 2024 Swift at the Tokyo Motor Show in January next year. Maruti Suzuki could launch the new Swift in India soon after its international debut. When launched, the new Swift 2024 will continue to rival the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago, among other B-segment hatchbacks sold in the country.
