2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift Spied - Will Get 6-Speed Auto | V3Cars
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift has been spied on Indian roads without any camouflage. It is set to receive a minor design update along with a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki is expected to charge a higher premium for the new transmission, which will replace the ageing 4-speed unit in the Ertiga and XL6.
The spy shots of the Ertiga facelift reveal a new grille with a piano black finish. The rest of the front profile remains largely unchanged. At the rear, the Ertiga facelift will gain the black boot applique, which we have seen on the XL6. The Ertiga facelift is also expected to get new alloy wheels, albeit the same size as before.

We do not expect any major changes to the interiors of the Ertiga facelift. Maruti Suzuki could add the new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, which is set to make its debut in the 2022 Baleno. The new touchscreen infotainment is expected to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with telematics. The rest of the interior design will remain the same, with a beige dashboard and upholstery.

The Ertiga facelift will retain the current 1.5L normal petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. However, Maruti could equip the automatic variants of the Ertiga facelift with a new 6-speed torque converter in place of the ageing 4-speed unit. The new automatic transmission will also make its way to the XL6, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, and S-Cross. Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the Ertiga facelift by July 2022. It will take on the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carens.
