Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara Sigma - A Value Proposition
The Sigma variant of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara offers great value for the money. Currently, the Grand Viatara Sigma variant only comes with the 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine and a manual transmission. It costs Rs. 10.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and gets the following notable features:
- Day/night inside mirror
- Tilt & telescopic steering
- Front armrest with sliding and storage
- Rear armrest with cup holders
- Rear disc brakes
- Steering-mounted controls
- 2x rear reading lamps
- Height-adjustable front seatbelts
- LED DRLs and LED turn indicators
- Halogen projector headlamps
- Keyless entry with push-button start stop
- Auto AC with rear AC vents
- 60-40 split rear seatbacks with reclining
- Height-adjustable driver seat
- All power windows
- 5x 3-point seatbelts
- 5x adjustable headrests
- Power mirrors with power folding
- ESC and hill start assist
- Dead pedal
You might only miss a few features such as:
- Rear washer wiper
- Rear camera
- Music system
- Tyre pressure sensors
We’ll suggest budget-conscious buyers to buy the base Sigma variant and add some aftermarket accessories. Apart from the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Grand Vitara’s Sigma variant offers more features for a car of this segment, body style and price point. In fact, we’d recommend it over the Maruti Suzuki Brezza’s VXI and ZXI variants for the additional space and features it offers. Only the music system and a rear camera seem like the biggest missing features in the base model of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Both of these features are very easy to install from the aftermarket or you can get these from the dealer so that your car is ready from day 1.
