Maruti Nexa Complete 2 Million Cumulative Sales In India

Maruti Nexa Reach 2 Million Unit Sales Milestone | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki launched the Nexa premium sub-brand in 2015. Since its launch, Maruti Nexa have sold 2 million cars in India. Maruti Nexa now contribute 20% of Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s (MSIL) total sales.

Maruti Nexa Cross 2 Million Sales Milestone

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) launched their premium dealership brand — Nexa — in 2015 with the S-Cross crossover. In the same year, Maruti Suzuki also launched the Baleno as a Nexa-exclusive offering. The Baleno is Nexa's best-selling model and also the best-selling premium hatchback in the country. Currently, Maruti Suzuki offer 5 vehicles via the Nexa brand of dealerships and these include the Baleno, Ignis, Ciaz, XL6 and Grand Vitara. Maruti Nexa currently operate in 280+ cities of India through 440+ showrooms.

Maruti Nexa Sales

Maruti Suzuki also revealed that nearly 50% of Nexa customers fall under the 35 year age bracket. To further extend their market share, Maruti Suzuki are all set to launch 2 new offerings under the Nexa brand — the Fronx crossover SUV and Jimny 4WD SUV. Both models were showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and they are likely to launch  in the coming months.

Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), said, “NEXA was conceptualized in 2015 with a philosophy of providing unique experiences, along with innovative and intelligent technology through a diverse product portfolio. Every NEXA product is curated with the best of technology, design and features for customers’ delight. The success of NEXA reaching the 2 million sales milestone is a testimony of customer's love for our hi-tech and feature-packed offerings and premium experiences. NEXA has contributed to more than 20% of total Maruti Suzuki sales and the numbers are going strong.”

Shashank Srivastava also revealed that the Fronx crossover and Jimny 4WD SUV combined have garnered over 38,000 bookings till date. The new Maruti Suzuki Fronx will slot between the Baleno and Grand Vitara and feature a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The Jimny, on the other hand, will be positioned as a lifestyle off-roader to target a niche set of buyers.
