Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period Climbs Up To 19 Months | V3Cars

Mahindra XUV700 was the most exciting product of the year 2021. It stirred quite a lot of buzz and ended up garnering over 50,000 bookings in less than 2 hours. New reports suggest that some variants of the Mahindra XUV700 now have a waiting period of over 19 months. The AX7 variant of the XUV700 boasts the highest demand, with a waiting period of over 19 months, whereas the popular AX5 variant has a waiting period of around a year.

To cope up with demand, Mahindra launched the AX7 Smart variant without ADAS and some supporting features. The deletion of certain features reduced the need for semiconductor chips that could aid to contain the waiting periods. However, the AX7 Smart variant is only offered to buyers who have already booked the AX7 Luxury. Buyers who want to buy the AX7 Smart may have to wait for a year or so to get their hands on one.

Mahindra XUV700 is an impressive product that offers an appealing combination of style, features, safety, and value for money. Mahindra & Mahindra offer the XUV700 with two engine options - a 2.2L turbo diesel that comes in two states of tune, and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. Both the engines can be specced with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes whereas 4-wheel drive remains exclusive to diesel automatic only.
