Mahindra XUV700 To Get 6-Seat Variants With Captain Seats

Mahindra XUV700 To Get 6-Seat Variants With Captain Seats | V3Cars

Mahindra XUV700 is in the news again for its long waiting period. Mahindra are now planning to launch the 6-seater variants of the XUV700. A new image surfaced of the AdrenoX app that revealed the 6-seater XUV700 with captain seats. The XUV700 is currently only offered with 5- and 7-seater variants. On the other hand, its rivals like the Safari and Alcazar offer both 6- and 7-seater options.

We do not expect any considerable change other than the seating layout with the 6-seater XUV700. It will continue to offer class-leading features like the twin 10.25-inch screens, Level 1 ADAS, 360-degree parking camera, powered driver’s seat with memory, booster LED headlights, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, and a lot more.

Talking more about the XUV700, it comes with two engine options - a 2.2-litre turbo diesel in two states of tune and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Both the engines can be specced with either a manual or a torque converter gearbox whereas the AWD option remains exclusive to the diesel automatic variant only. Mahindra could charge a premium for the 6-seater variants, thanks to individual captain chairs and separate armrests. We expect Mahindra to retain the tumble function for the second row even with the captain seats.
