2022 Mahindra XUV400 Vs MG ZS EV: Dimensions And Specifications | V3Cars
Mahindra recently revealed the XUV400, an all-electric SUV based on the XUV300 and targeted at the Nexon EV Prime and EV Max. However, the XUV400’s longer length puts it in the C-segment, where the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric SUVs reside. Here, we compare the XUV400’s dimensions with that of its potential rival, the MG ZS EV.
Take a look at the dimensions of the XUV400 and ZS EV:

The MG ZS EV gets wider and larger 17-inch wheels while the XUV400 gets slightly narrower tyres and 16-inch wheels. While both SUVs get alloy wheels, the ZS EV gets a more aerodynamic design while the XUV400 makes do with regular alloy wheels.

The Mahindra XUV400 comes with a 39.5kWh battery pack, which is 10.8kWh smaller than the ZS EV’s 50.3kWh unit. However, the XUV400 still excels in many areas. Firstly, it offers a class-leading torque of 310Nm and a 0-100kmph time of 8.3 seconds. As the battery pack is smaller, it charges faster as well. It takes only 6.5 hours to charge the battery of the Mahindra XUV400 with an AC charger whereas the ZS EV takes anywhere between 8.5-9 hours.
While Mahindra have announced that the XUV400 will go on sale early next year, the carmaker is yet to announce its prices. However, we expect it to undercut its C-segment rivals, such as the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric. Mahindra could price the XUV400 in the same range as the Tata Nexon EV Max. Soon, the XUV400 will gain another rival in form of the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV.
